Epilogue 11
In a cartoon the explosive feathery puff of a bird against a wall
might be comical.
A poof,
and then all the feathers
floating to the ground whimsically to reveal an embarrassed naked pigeon.
In slow motion black and white the incident would have been tragic,
drawing a tear from any decent soul.
If it had been accompanied with the caption underneath,
“Dramatization,”
and a deep voice-over saying something like,
“Joey’s anti-social behavior reached far back into early puberty when he used to run around the streets kicking pigeons to get off,”
it would be a menacing, and one might wonder what Joey’s parents thought of all this birdkicking.
